WHERE TO MEET
You will meet your local guide at Lefkos Pyrgos (White Tower), one of the city’s most distinctive landmarks. After you have been given your e-bike, helmet and had a safety briefing, the relaxed tour through Thessaloniki can begin. The tour begins with a bike ride and later continues with a walk through the city.

WHAT TO SEE
Thessaloniki, the charming capital of the Greek region of Macedonia, is famous for its exciting history, in which Alexander the Great, the Roman Emperor Galerius, the Apostle Paul and many others played a significant role.

The Greeks also love the city for its particularly relaxed atmosphere, which is best described by the Greek word “halara”, which roughly translates to “take it easy”. Along the way, you gain incredible insights.

Enjoy the city’s stunning promenade, discover hidden gems, and take photos with some of Thessaloniki’s most famous landmarks.

WHAT TO EXPERIENCE BY BIKE
We ride through the 12 themed parks along Thessaloniki’s New Waterfront, which was completed in 2013 and is much loved and often frequented by the locals.

Once we have arrived at the Concert Hall, we take a break. From here we have an incredible sunset view over Thessaloniki, the Thermaic Gulf, and the mythical Mount Olympus.

We continue along the Old Promenade and through the bohemian quarter in the city centre, where the locals love to go out. There are pedestrian streets and hidden back alleys full of hip cafés, boho-style bars, top-notch restaurants, impressive monuments, and much more to discover!

WHAT TO EXPLORE ON FOOT
After this fantastic ride, it’s time to taste some delicious traditional Greek fast food and mouth-watering local sweets. Before our tour comes to an end, we park the bikes and stroll to a popular nearby bar, located in what was once one of the town’s magnificent noble houses.

Enjoy a locally brewed beer in the bar’s shady garden, or indoors on cooler days, and listen to witty and charming stories about the Greek beer tradition. Although this only began on a grand scale in the 19th century, recent archaeological finds have shown that beer production in Greece actually dates back to the Bronze Age.

Your Thessaloniki exploration tour comes to an end here. However, your guide will be sure to give you some great recommendations on what you can do next. Our e-bikes are high quality pedelecs, mainly with Bosch motors and extra range, characterized by their relatively light weight and great components. They make even the toughest uphill climb fun and are great at spreading smiles on the faces of our guests.

What are the age requirements for this tour?
This tour is suitable for adults and young people from 10 years of age. Rental bikes for people shorter than 5 ft. / 150 cm can be provided on request. Please let us know if you require a smaller bike when booking your tour.

What language is the tour conducted in?
This tour is conducted exclusively in English.

Are changes to the itinerary possible?
In the event of extreme weather conditions, we reserve the right to change the tour itinerary or to cancel the tour. If we cancel the tour altogether, you can either reschedule for another date free of charge or receive a full refund.

How difficult is this tour?
We classify this tour as easy. As we use e-bikes this tour is suitable for almost anyone of any age without any problems. However, you must be able to ride a bike confidently.

We cycle exclusively on roads with little or no traffic and avoid difficult climbs. Our guide leads the group safely through Thessaloniki and ensures the individual safety of all participants. They will also give you useful tips and suggestions to help you make the most of your stay in this exciting city.
