Furthermore, on Andros, you have the opportunity to experience typical Greek island life. The island, still almost untouched by tourism, can be reached quickly from Athens by ferry and offers an authentic island experience. During the trip, you discover the immense beauty of this diverse island.
This eventful tour combines activity, culture, adventure, and plenty of fun! Of course, you also have enough time to relax, swim, and enjoy yourself. We can also customise the tour according to your preferred activities and fitness level. What are you waiting for? Pack your bags and head to Greece!
This tour runs from March to November with a minimum of 4 participants. You may start the tour on any day of the week.
Here we can look forward to magnificent views of the Aegean Sea and the sunken old harbour of the ancient city. We get our day’s adrenaline rush next, as we abseil down to the village below.
But our tour doesn’t end there! We enjoy a break in a traditional “Kafeneio” before starting the beautiful descent to the sea. Once there, we have time for a swim. A special attraction here is snorkelling as you can discover the secrets of the ancient harbour town from under the sea!
You are free to choose which route you would like to climb. From here there is a breath-taking view of the surrounding area and the sea. Those with little or no climbing experience are safely supervised every step of the way so they can learn the basic climbing techniques and how to correctly use climbing equipment.
More experienced climbers have the opportunity to improve their skills in cliff climbing. Our day trip ends on the pristine Grias Pidima Beach in Korthi Bay. Here there is plenty of time to swim, relax or have lunch before we return to the hotel.
We hike through wooded valleys and climb to the highest point of the island. Later we reach the Achla River, which we follow to a magnificent waterfall. Here a wonderful natural river pool entices us in for a swim.
After our refreshing break, we continue our walk and listen as our guide tells us all about the rich flora surrounding us. A narrow path leads to a beautiful old stone bridge which we cross to the other side of the river.
We continue on through a wonderfully shady sycamore forest and finally reach a pristine sandy beach dotted with dunes and caves. Here the river mouth forms a small lagoon, an area important for the island’s biodiversity and home to migratory and a variety of other birds.
Take time to rest, swim and enjoy a picnic. We then return to the hotel by jeep, driving through the north of Andros with its traditional villages and breath-taking nature.
At a depth of only 10 metres in crystal clear warm water, we marvel at the underwater world of eels, octopus, sea bass, bream, and schools of various Mediterranean fish.
In the afternoon, we meet for windsurfing or a 2-hour stand-up paddle board course. Our coach familiarises us with our equipment, gives safety instructions, and shares tips on how to get maximum fun out of our water sports adventure.
There are different lessons for beginners, intermediate and advanced paddlers, so everyone gets their money’s worth regardless of their level of expertise.
We follow small country roads and paths and discover hidden scenic treasures and the traditional villages of northern Andros. Our destination is the beautiful beach of Vitali. Here there is enough time for a break and a swim before we start our return journey.
In the afternoon, you can take the time to enjoy the unique atmosphere of this beautiful Cycladic island.
From there, you can travel home individually or extend your holiday in Greece.
During this trip, you will be accommodated in beautiful boutique hotels, which reflect the typical charm of the Cyclades Islands in their architecture. Here, tradition meets comfort; the spacious rooms are equipped with a shower and toilet, air conditioning, and often have a balcony or terrace. The friendly staff will ensure that you want for nothing. Every day starts with a rich and delicious breakfast. WIFI is available around the clock in the hotels.
