Tell the family to get ready, head to Greece, and come aboard the wooden, two-masted motor sailer Panagiota! Together as a family, you embark on a summer adventure cruise through the Ionian Islands off the west coast of Greece. A true island paradise where plenty of fun and variety await both young and old.
From Corfu, the cruise takes you to the island of Lefkas with its chalk cliffs and fantastic beaches with unforgettable shades of blue. You also discover Kefalonia, which enchants with its picturesque village of Fiskardo and the Melissani Cave. No less exciting on Kefalonia is a visit to a donkey farm, which is sure to particularly delight our youngest visitors.
On Meganisi and the olive tree island of Paxos, where time seems to have stood still, you gain unforgettable insights into traditional Greek island life. For seven days you discover a unique island and coastal world by Bike & Boat, canoe, and on foot. Jumping straight from the ship into the sea while anchoring in wonderful bathing bays is certainly one of the highlights of the trip. There is plenty of room for play, fun, and spontaneity. Cycling, hiking, canoeing, swimming, or relaxing onboard: decide each day anew what you would like to do.
The natural harbor of Gaios is unique and provides a special atmosphere during our stay here. In the afternoon we take a small cycle tour along the coast to Mongonissi bay. The evening can be spent relaxing in a local tavern in Gaios.
After a long cruise we reach a narrow channel with an original swing bridge which connects the Greek mainland with the island. From Lefkas City we start our tour around the lagoon and can enjoy a second swim at the white sand beach, Agios Ioannis.
After returning to the boat, we navigate our way to Nidri where we will spend the evening and the night.
This port, located at the northern tip of the island, delights us with its colourful little houses and many cafes and bars along the picturesque harbour promenade. An evening walk of approx. 30 minutes takes us to a pretty lighthouse. Overnight in Fiskardo.
A visit to a donkey farm, knowledge and fun at the same time for all ages, is next on the agenda before the tour takes us back to the boat. The boat meets us in Sami and takes us for a well-deserved swim break! Our journey then takes us further to Meganisi, a charming island where we spend the night.
The mighty olive tree next to the monastery church is said to grant wishes. So, start thinking about what you would like to wish for! The Panagiota awaits us for our last crossing back to Corfu. Here we can enjoy a celebratory evening meal before reflecting on our wonderful adventures of the week.
At 23 x 6 m the MS Panagiota is a traditional Greek caique, fully renovated in 2001.
