Kayak day tour on the breathtaking Mani Peninsula

Discover Kardamyli, Stoupa and the Blue Grotto!

The Mani Peninsula is located not far from the town of Kalamata. Mani is a natural paradise and a true hidden gem of the Peloponnese. Between the soaring Taygettos Mountains and the azure waters of the Messinian Gulf lie the picturesque villages of Kardamyli and Stoupa.

Discover this unique stretch of coastline by kayak! The rugged shores of this idyllic peninsula along with the incredibly fertile hinterland that surrounds the two villages never fail to amaze visitors. During the tour, we paddle through crystal clear water, discover hidden caves, and swim in the Blue Grotto.

Our five nautical mile (10 km / 6 mi.) tour leads past impressive rock formations and secluded sandy beaches. A picnic on one of these beaches with time for snorkeling and swimming rounds off our wonderful nature experience!

WHAT TO EXPECT
Our day kayaking adventure starts at the old harbor in Kardamyli. Before we set off across the beautiful blue sea, you are given a safety briefing and an introduction to energy-saving paddling techniques. Once this is done, the paddling fun can begin!

We paddle at a relaxed pace along the coast with its numerous rocky outcrops, hidden caves and rock gardens. We also pass impressive cliffs and secluded sand and pebble beaches.

One of the greatest highlights of our kayak tour is a visit to the Blue Grotto, a natural cave whose waters shimmer in multiple shades of blue where the sunlight pierces the water’s surface. Dive into the aquamarine water: Swimming in the Blue Grotto is a truly unforgettable experience!

About halfway through our tour, we make our way to a beautiful beach where we enjoy a picnic and have time to swim or snorkel. Having regained our energy, we then make our way back to Kardamyli. Sadly, our tour ends here, but you will bring home many wonderful memories of your time in this natural paradise!
