WHAT TO EXPECT
The “E-Bike and Wine Tour Meteora” starts at 10 am in Kalambaka. Before you begin, you are given your e-bike and a short introduction about the planned tour itinerary. Today’s 11 km / 7 mi. bike tour leads through the magnificent landscape of Meteora’s vineyards!

And off we go! We head to Diava, a village situate at the foot of the Koziakas Mountains. Once here, we take a guided tour of a traditional winery, where you learn all sorts of insider information about viticulture as well as the process of winemaking from grape to table.

Start the day by learning about the history of the vineyards of ancient Faloreia and Meteora and the different phases of the vineyard season, from bud break to harvest. This is a great opportunity to get an insight into the different types of Meteora wines. You find out all about the different grape varieties and learn why Meteora wines and their flavours are so unique and extraordinary!

A delicious wine tasting, accompanied by Greek specialities, is an absolute must made extra special by the spectacular view of the vineyards and the Meteora rocks. Three different wines and a spirit (tsipouro) are available for tasting, accompanied by bread sticks, local cheese, ham, and more. If you would like to take a bottle home with you, you can buy it on-site as a souvenir.

After our wonderful vineyard experience, we cycle back to Kalambaka along a different route. On the way, we enjoy more panoramic views of Meteora.

Throughout our relaxed tour, we take short breaks during which our guide shares with you the secrets of the historic wine region along with plenty of insider knowledge! There is more than enough time to enjoy the wonderful views and to take photos of the beautiful surroundings.
