Attica, the area surrounding Athens, is one of the oldest wine-producing regions in the world. For over 3,000 years, excellent wines such as Savatiano have been cultivated here. More than 30 wineries produce these coveted Attica wines.
Do you love fine wines, and would you like to taste some of the best wines in Greece? Would you like to combine this with a cultural excursion through Attica and a gourmet meal? Then join us on this exclusive wine tour through the land of Dionysus.
On this tour, you will learn about both the ancient and modern technologies involved in the art of winegrowing and taste locally produced delicacies to accompany the wines. You can also look forward to a visit to the beautifully preserved Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion.
This exclusive wine tour can be booked on any day throughout the year. A minimum of 6 participants is required for the tour to take place.
Afterwards, the journey continues to the southernmost point of the Greek mainland. The imposing temple of the ancient sea god Poseidon has stood at Cape Sounion for 2,500 years. Made entirely of marble and built to last for eternity, it overlooks the beautiful Aegean Sea atop its 60-metre-high cliff. The temple is a masterpiece of Greek precision architecture and is certainly worth a visit.
After having experienced the fascinating temple and the unique view over the Aegean Sea, we continue our journey along the picturesque west coast of Attica. After about an hour’s drive, we arrive at an exceptional restaurant located right by the sea. Here we enjoy a 4-course gourmet meal with a further selection of excellent Attica wines.
After a truly enjoyable and eventful day, we arrive back at your accommodation in Athens at around 5:30 pm.
