WHERE TO MEET
We meet at Aristippou street 20 Athina 106 76 in the centre of Athens next to the funicular railway and begin walking up Lycabettus hill. According to legend, this hill was created by Athena, the goddess of wisdom and the patron saint of Athens.

Reaching 277 m / 909 ft. above sea level, Lycabettus is the highest point in Athens. If the weather is clear, we enjoy a spectacular view out over the Saronic Gulf all the way to the island of Aegina! Enjoy exercising in the fresh air and being surrounded by nature!

WHAT TO SEE
We then head down into the city, passing most of Athens’ famous landmarks. Admire the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Panathenaic Stadium, the venue of the first modern Olympic Games. Your guide also leads you to famous ancient sites such as Hadrian’s Arch and the Odeon of Herodes Atticus.

We continue on foot past one of the world’s most popular sites and landmarks, the iconic Parthenon! Along the way, your guide points out the best photo spots and takes you on a journey through time by bringing the fascinating mythology and history of the Greek metropolis to life. They are of course always happy to answer any questions you may have!

The next highlight of our hike is the Hill of Areopagus, a prominent rocky outcrop located northwest of the Athenian Acropolis. In ancient times, this was the site of the Council of Nobles and the court that dealt predominantly with murder cases.

Directly below lies the ancient Agora – the heart of Athens during antiquity. Enjoy the view and gaze out over Athens from high above!

Lastly, we make our way to the Hill of the Nymphs. This small hill, just 100 m / 328 ft. in height, is located at the northern tip of the green expanse that forms the south-western section of the Acropolis.

Be sure to take the opportunity to get more tips and suggestions from your local guide so that you get the most out of your trip to the amazing city of Athens.

Filled with wonderful experiences, our tour ends at Monastiraki Square in the centre of Athens.
