If you are looking to experience typical Greek island life straight out of a picture book, the Cyclades are the place for you! Gleaming white houses with blue shutters, hundreds of chapels, and narrow, labyrinthine-like alleyways determine the architectural character of the island towns. The white sandy beaches nestled between the rocky landscape create striking contrasts with the brilliant blue of the sea.
Our tour leads to the islands of Paros, Naxos, and Santorini, undoubtedly three of the most famous Cycladic islands. In summer, the islands bustle with life. However, by boat, bicycle, kayak, and on foot, it is possible to reach remote areas that few tourists get to see.
Paros awaits its visitors with beautiful sandy beaches and inviting beach bars. The picturesque harbour town of Naoussa is especially worth a visit. Here, the Cycladic-style houses huddle around the colourful fishing harbour giving the island’s second-largest town a truly unique charm.
Naxos is the largest and most fertile of the Cycladic islands. Those passionate about culture get their money’s worth here. Explore the impressive Portara of Naxos, also known as the Great Door. This ancient entrance gate to the temple of Apollo is considered the island’s most important landmark.
Last but not least, the tour leads to Santorini – deservedly called the Queen of the Aegean. A massive volcanic eruption in the 16th century BC created the island’s truly distinctive landscape. This eventful tour combines activity, culture, adventure, fun, and variety and is therefore especially suitable for families.
You can start it any day and choose between a self-guided option, where you do the hikes on your own with the help of maps that we provided, or a guided option with a local guide (see services).
The other activities (bike tour, kayak tour, and boat trip) are guided in both variants.
Once you arrive on the island, you take a short transfer to your hotel which is located in the charming harbour town of Naoussa. Here you will spend the next three nights.
The delicious scent of wild, aromatic herbs and Mediterranean plants accompanies us on our relaxed hike past olive groves and vineyards. Once we have reached our destination, the beautiful beach of Logaras tempts us in for a refreshing swim. Afterwards, we return to the hotel in Naoussa.
Today brings everything from long swimming breaks and cliff jumping, visits to caves and secluded beaches to freshly prepared Greek food and cold drinks. A truly unforgettable day is guaranteed. In the evening we return to Naoussa for a final overnight stay.
After a short crossing of about an hour, we reach Naxos, the largest and most fertile of the Cyclades islands. A transfer takes us to our hotel, where we will spend the night. Once we have settled in, there is plenty of time to explore the new surroundings independently.
Naxos town captivates with its fortified citadel and a beautifully developed harbour promenade. Stunning sandy beaches are within walking distance. Enjoy the sea air and relax!
However, when the sculptors discovered a flaw in the marble, the statue was left unfinished. From the impressive marble figure, we follow the path to the picturesque village of Ano Potamia. After a short refreshing stop at the village’s spring, we walk to Apano Kastro where we enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of Naxos town, the harbour, and the surrounding villages.
We continue via the small village of Tsikalario to Chalki, where we visit the Valindras Distillery and taste Kitron. This local liqueur of protected Naxos origin is made from the leaves of the cedrat tree. Afterwards, we return to Naxos town, where we spend the night again.
We reach the dreamlike beach of Mikri Vigla with its fine white sand and the bright blue sea via small dirt roads. Here we take a break and enjoy a swim, some food, and drinks. After our time at the beach, we return to Naxos town, where we spend another night.
Around noon we take the ferry to the Queen of the Cyclades. As we approach Santorini from the sea, we already get an impression of the volcanic island’s beauty. Upon arrival, we head to the hotel.
Once we have settled in, we go on a four-hour hike from the town of Fira along the spectacular caldera to the picturesque village of Oia. Overnight stay on Santorini.
We enjoy views of spectacular rock formations, crystal clear waters, and beautiful beaches. Along the way, we stop to snorkel and dive with plenty of time to enjoy the fascinating underwater world. We return to our hotel and spend our last night on Santorini.
During this trip, you will be accommodated in wonderful family-friendly 3–4-star resorts, which architecturally reflect the typical charm of the Cyclades islands. Here, tradition meets comfort. The spacious rooms and family flats are equipped with shower/WC and air conditioning and often have a balcony or terrace.
All hotels are located near the sea and have their own pools. The friendly staff will make sure you want for nothing. Every day starts with a rich breakfast. WIFI is available around the clock in the hotels.
Please note that children under the age of 14 can only take part in the sea kayak tour on Santorini together with a parent in a two-person kayak.
The bike tour on Naxos is only suitable for children over 14 but can be exchanged for a culinary tour, a catamaran cruise, or a day at the beach.
In addition to a rich breakfast at the hotel, you can look forward to traditional restaurants and tastings of many different island specialities for lunch and dinner. Full board begins with dinner on the first day and ends with dinner on the eighth day. Drinks are not included on both tours.
Feel free to contact us if you would rather see or experience something different on Paros, Naxos, or Santorini and we will do our best to adjust the tour itinerary to your liking.
Before the bike and kayak tour, you will receive an introduction on how to use the equipment as well as a safety briefing. If you do not wish to participate in an activity, please let us know.
Flight or ferry tickets from Piraeus to Paros and from Santorini to Piraeus are not included in the tour price. You have to book these tickets yourself. The ferry tickets from Paros to Naxos and Naxos to Santorini are included in the tour price and will be booked for you.
